Behind The Lens.
Behind the Lens is the travel photography blog of Annie Greevenbosch and Luke Dokic - fine art photographers and storytellers featured in National Geographic and BBC.
From portrait series in the backstreets of Albania to chasing dawn over Vietnam's misty rice terraces, we document the world one frame at a time. Here you'll find the stories, techniques, and creative decisions behind each image: the gear we carry, the conditions we shoot in, and the human moments that make travel photography worth pursuing. Whether you're a fellow photographer looking for inspiration, or simply someone who loves travel and visual storytelling, pull up a seat and stay a while.
Why we print on Hahnemühle paper & what is it?
If you've browsed our shop, you'll have seen the word Hahnemühle a lot. It's a bit of a mouthful, so here's what it actually means and why it's the paper we picked for every print we sell. So, what is Hahnemühle? Hahnemühle is a German paper maker that's been going since 1584. That's over 400 years of making paper, which is a fair bit of practice. They're known for papers made for artists, printmakers and photographers, and you'll find them in galleries, studios and print shops all over the world. The name is pronounced roughly "HAH-neh-moo-leh". We still stumble over it sometimes, so no pressure.
